All of our chicks are one day old when the are humanely euthanized. In the poultry business, these chicks are usually discarded and inhumanely killed. Even though the same end is in store, we are now using the animal for another purpose as opposed to just killing them. The only problem you may have, is that once you start feeding your pet the chicks, it is hard to put them on anything else.
As mentioned, make sure the reptile is larger enough to accept the prey.
